Bison Transport Voted 2010 Best Fleets to Drive For
Monday, July 19, 2010 - Winnipeg, MB - Bison Transport is honored to be one of the 2010 Best Fleets to Drive For as selected by the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA).
As the industry gears up to celebrate National Trucking Week in September, Bison Transport is proud to be recognized as one of the 2010 Best Fleets to Drive For. The TCA Best Fleets to Drive For Awards are determined through driver nominations and subsequent evaluations by the company's Professional Drivers. Companies are evaluated based on a broad range of criteria reflecting current HR best practices.
While Bison's award winning safety program is already widely recognized, their driver program stands out with a focus on improving the quality of life for its Professional Drivers. Taking full advantage of today's technology, Bison Drivers use the company's intranet site to access settlement information, training materials, and communicate across departments. Driver's families can also use the site to track their loved ones location through satellite positioning.
New hires to Bison are a top priority with a 30 and 60 day ramp up period to ensure they have all the tools necessary to be safe and productive in their new career. Lastly, Bison was recognized for its range of employment levels and job classifications, allowing Drivers to choose the type of work that suits them best as their personal needs change.
