As the Driver Services Representative, you will be responsible for all administrative duties involved in the Western Driver Services Region and is responsible for providing telephone and walk-in reception for the Driver Services Team and Calgary Terminal. Our Driver Services Representative is a key contact for our drivers and assists both Company Drivers and Owner Operators in all aspects of the Driver Program. This includes handling and managing incoming phone calls; scheduling and monitoring walk-in appointments; managing the Driver Services program and assisting the drivers with all on the road problems, as well as communicating Company policies and procedures. Other duties include Human Resource administrative duties, printing and managing various reports as required, and various other duties associated with the Driver Program. This position offers an excellent learning opportunity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

As a Wash Bay Attendant (WBA) you will be responsible for the Company’s performance in terms of efficient, effective and timely cleaning of the Bison Transport tractor fleet. You are expected to be a team player in the Maintenance department. Good communication skills and a professional attitude are basic requirements. In addition to washing tractors and trailers, you will be involved in cleaning the shop, picking up parts from outside vendors and transporting drivers to various locations (i.e., hotels, etc.)

This position is for our Monday – Friday evening shift.

Previous experience in a shop service related field will contribute to your success. A valid Class 5 license is required. Class 3 license would be considered an asset. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory driver’s abstract report.

This is a challenging role, requiring a great deal of motivation and initiative, offering you the opportunity to build a rewarding career with a leading transportation company. Our Maintenance Coordinator ensures that the fleet maintenance requirements are accurately identified, recorded and prioritized within the maintenance system to meet maintenance safety, operational and driver needs.

The Maintenance Coordinator is expected to be a team player and a leader within in the maintenance department and is able to communicate effectively with mechanics, drivers, outside vendors and Bison’s customers. The Maintenance Coordinator is also responsible for monitoring and scheduling of all preventable maintenance within established guidelines.

This position is a full-time Friday – Sunday day shift from 6am – 6pm.

The Position

The Night Dispatcher is responsible for overseeing all Dispatch and Customer Service activity for their assigned shift. The focus of the Night Dispatcher is the identification and resolution of all non-routine or time-sensitive issues that arise after regular business hours. The Night Dispatcher must display sound judgement and involve other operations staff in the resolution process, as they deem necessary. Must be well organized, an excellent communicator and have a keen sense of timeliness.

This position is subject to a modified work schedule - hours of work are 6:00pm – 6:00am.

The Successful Candidate

As a Fleet Dispatcher for our Calgary night operations team, you will be exposed to all aspects of non-routine and time-sensitive issues that occur after regular business hours. As a Truck & Coach Apprentice/Mechanic, you will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Trailer Mechanics, Barn Inspectors and the other Tractor Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action. 
 
Please note that this position is subject to a modified work schedule.

Graduation from a recognized certificate program (ex. Truck and Transport Mechanic, Heavy Duty Mechanic), and/or the desire to obtain your Journeyman’s certificate will be key to your success in this position.  Your effective time management and team focus are considered an asset in this position.

Candidates must possess prior Transportation Industry experience. Demonstrated problem solving and planning abilities are integral to your success in this position. Solid knowledge North American geography as well as past supervisory experience is considered an asset.  This position is subject to a modified shift agreement and will be on a 4 day on, 4 day off shift rotation.
 
This position is subject to a Continental Shift Agreement.
