Program Overview
The goal of the New Graduate Program is to develop talented individuals into Bison's future leaders. Students are hired after graduation to work in a full-time capacity. Over the 18-month period of this program, you will be placed on a vigorous learning development plan to afford you with a solid understanding of our company at all levels. Throughout this program you will be working with a variety of Bison’s leaders who will contribute to your career development and your manager will assume a mentoring role to guide your success. You will be challenged through approximately three job rotations (six to eight months each) in various roles across the organization.  All New Grad rotations and Learning Plans will be supported and monitored by the mentoring manager.

Personal Development
With each rotation, New Grads go through a complete career development & performance review series. Licensing Assistant

This is a challenging entry level role, requiring a great deal of motivation and initiative, offering you the opportunity to build a rewarding career with a leading transportation company. Our Licensing Assistant is responsible for maintaining proper licensing and permits to the fleet. The Licensing Assistant is expected to be a team player in the Maintenance Department and able to communicate effectively with the Licensing Administrator, Drivers, Maintenance Coordinators and outside vendors.

 

The primary responsibility is focused on assisting the Licensing Administrator in providing Licensing for new company units as well as Owner Operators and new trailers added to the Fleet. The Licensing Assistant will also obtain & record temporary permits for operational requirements when necessary. This includes renewing, recording & distributing annual permits to Fleet in a timely manner. This position is also responsible for Owner Operator / 3rd party equipment repair monthly billing and National account tire billings. This position will also engage in other projects and activities as is necessary to the position and as assigned by the Regional Fleet Maintenance Manager.

 

You are detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills wanting to have a direct impact on the continued growth and success of the company. You thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment. You will utilize your communication and interpersonal skills to develop and strengthen relationships. About the Opportunity
Reporting to the VP, Sales & Marketing, this role will play an integral part in the success of Bison Transport in achieving its corporate marketing results. The role is directly responsible for the following:
  • Provide leadership, support and direction to a small team of Marketing Coordinators
  • Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities
  • Partner with the various corporate groups (i.e. Recruitment & Marketing) to review, develop and implement internal and external marketing strategies that will drive sales, increase quality employment applications, provide profit and create customer satisfaction
