Bison's mandate under the 12 and 12 Program is to ensure that each of our tractors achieves at least 12,000 miles per month 12 months of the year. The different options listed below for the 12 and 12 Program ensures that Bison gets the proper utilization on all of our equipment and meet the individual Driver needs. This in turn enables us to meet our financial obligations and increase profits so you get the best pay, benefits and equipment.
Assigned Tractor
You must be available for 24 full days per month for dispatch. Drivers in this category average 12,000 miles per month.
Managed Time OffYou must be available for 22 full days per month for dispatch. Drivers in this category average 11,000 miles per month.
Truck Share - 6000 to 8000 miles per monthYou must be available for 15 full days per month for dispatch. Drivers in this category share a tractor with another assigned driver and rotate trips averaging 7,000 miles per month.
TeamYou must be available for 24 full days per month for dispatch. Drivers in this category average 20,000 miles per month.
Super SingleYou must be available for 24 full days per month for dispatch. Drivers in this category average 16,000 miles per month.
Full Slip SeatYou must be available for 15 full days per month for dispatch. All trips start and end at a Bison terminal or yard.
Part Time (Highway)You must be available for 1 trip per month for dispatch. All trips start and end at a Bison terminal or yard.
