Our Shop Maintenance Coordinator ensures that our fleet maintenance requirements are accurately identified, recorded and prioritized within the maintenance system to meet maintenance safety, operational and driver needs. The Shop Maintenance Coordinator is also responsible for supporting the parts room by actively monitoring inventory, ordering parts, re-stocking the inventory, as well as supplying parts and supplies to Mechanics and Drivers ensuring all parts and supplies are charged out to work orders.   The Shop Maintenance Coordinator provides customer service to all Drivers by obtaining information on the problems they are encountering with the equipment, recording preventative maintenance and utilizing reports to identify incorrect data. 

  This position is a Weekend Shift (Fri through Sun from 6am-6pm).

Program Overview

The goal of the New Graduate Program is to develop talented individuals into Bison's future leaders. Students are hired after graduation to work in a full-time capacity. Over the 18-month period of this program, you will be placed on a vigorous learning development plan to afford you with a solid understanding of our company at all levels. Throughout this program you will be working with a variety of Bison’s leaders who will contribute to your career development and your manager will assume a mentoring role to guide your success. You will be challenged through approximately three job rotations (six to eight months each) in various roles across the organization.  All New Grad rotations and Learning Plans will be supported and monitored by the mentoring manager.

Assignments may include:

  • Operations Administration
  • Customer Service (it all starts with great customer service!)

  • Fleet Coordination
  • Planning
  • Business Analyst

Personal Development

With each rotation, New Grads go through a complete career development & performance review series. This allows you to spend time with your mentoring manager at the beginning of each term to identify the skills you expect to learn, master and apply on the job. At the end of each rotation, you will have developed new skills and abilities and you will have a constructive understanding of all the attributes you bring to the organization.

After New Grads successfully complete the rotational program, successful participants will be placed into their “destination” career path based on business need, personal career goals and individual skills and knowledge demonstrated throughout the rotational program. Forklift Operator with Class 1 License - Langley

As part of our continued growth in Langley Terminal, we are looking for a Full-Time forklift driver who will be responsible for loading and unloading freight, filling out paperwork, and shunting trailers in yard. This role reports to the Operations Manager. The incumbent takes charge of the entire shipping/receiving/picking/packing process to ensure all shipments and orders are complete and meets transport pick up times.

Hours- Monday to Friday 0800hrs – 1600hrs

Responsibilities include:   - Responsible for the accurate and efficient process of shipping, receiving, of freight, and also stocking, replenishment and picking of merchandise. - Ensures compliance with all appropriate policies, best practices and safety rules. - Willing to work occasional extended hours as required and able to handle up to 50 pound boxes - Other duties as required  

Requirements:   - Forklift Certified - Class 1 driving license - Experience in a Distribution Centre/Warehouse role desirable - Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing - Good analytical and mathematical skills - Strong organizational skills; attention to detail - Ability to meet urgent deadlines - Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
