We are currently recruiting highly motivated, analytical people like you with strong organization and communication skills to join our highly effective Winnipeg team. Reporting to the Controller, the Internal Auditor/Accounting Technician is responsible for a variety of essential components of our business.
In the Internal Audit/Accounting Technician role, the individual will assist in the routine monthly audits. As well, the Internal Auditor/Accounting Technician will assist the Lead Internal Auditor with detailed testing of processes to provide the business with an independent, objective assurance that processes are operating accurately and as intended. This role will also assist our business in validating new processes, and improving our existing processes. Additionally, this role will assist in preparing financial statements. This includes preparation of working papers, expense analysis reports, entering required journal entries, account reconciliation and follow up.
A post-secondary degree or certificate in accounting, finance, administration or business as well as demonstrated superior analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills are integral to your success in this position. The successful candidate is able to work independently, to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, and to plan and execute projects and audits with minimum supervision. Experience in auditing, finance and IT is considered an asset.
