We have openings for Planners and/or Fleet Dispatchers. As a Fleet Dispatcher for our Winnipeg operations team, you will be exposed to all aspects of the Central Customer Service region. You will be a key player in building and maintaining relationships between our drivers and various departments within Bison.  You will work closely with your team and assigned fleet ensuring our driver, customer and company expectations are met. The Fleet Dispatcher regularly monitors their assigned fleet and accurately distributes, receives and updates information in our state of the art technological systems.
 
As a Planner you will be accountable for coordinating and effectively utilizing assets for the division to satisfy the needs of the clients, drivers and the Company. This will be accomplished through building and strengthening solid working relationships with customers and drivers. You will accurately predict the availability and potential assets in the best interests of our company. You will work closely with your team and assigned fleet ensuring our driver, customer and company expectations are met. To achieve success in this position, you will be proactive in solving issues, realizing opportunities and communicating in a thorough and timely manner with all co-workers.
 
These positions are subject to a modified schedule.
 
Candidates must possess prior Transportation Industry experience, preferably in an operations based position. Demonstrated problem solving and planning abilities are integral to your success in this position. Solid knowledge North American geography as well as past supervisory experience is considered an asset.

As the Dispatch Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day to day performance of the central-based Highway Dispatch team. The Dispatch Supervisor ensures that all of the dispatch team’s goals, issues and concerns are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.  This is accomplished through daily communication, training and the ongoing development of a solid working relationship with all dispatch staff.  The Dispatch Supervisor is also actively involved in coaching and performance management areas of opportunity with respect to our highway drivers.

 

The successful candidate will be a strong team player as well as an effective leader with strong communication skills capable of working in a dynamic and fast paced environment. A professional attitude is also a must for this position.  Solid knowledge of the transportation industry and North American geography are required.

Our Maintenance Coordinator ensures that our fleet maintenance requirements are accurately identified, recorded and prioritized within the maintenance system to meet maintenance safety, operational and driver needs. The maintenance coordinator is also expected to be a team player in the maintenance department and able to communicate effectively with mechanics, drivers, outside vendors and Bison’s customers.

The LTL Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily activity of our LTL clients in the GTA. The primary focus of this position is to ensure we are accurately setting up each order, monitoring all shipments, handling customer inquires and developing relationships. The secondary focus will be to recognize where LTL opportunities can complement Bison’s current business model. This will include actively being involved with operations, the warehouse, and identifying complementary shipments and rate negotiations.
 
Demonstrated problem solving, customer service, and organization abilities will be the key to success in this position.   Knowledge of the Transportation Industry and North American Geography are considered assets.

• Insurance and authorities
• Order tracing
• Recording of information in the logistics system
• Troubleshooting as required

The focus of this position is to ensure that all administrative functions of Bison ABL are completed in an accurate, timely and complete manner.
