Bison Transport, headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba, was honoured at the American Trucking Associations (ATA) 2015 Safety, Security and Human Resources National Conference & Exhibition for their role in safe practices and achieving an exceptional road safety record.
For the fifth consecutive year, the ATA has awarded Bison first place in the National Truck Safety Contest with the 2014 Safe Fleet Award for the lowest US Department of Transportation recordable accident rate in the over 100 million miles category.
“This award recognizes that our Drivers make decisions that keep themselves, and those we share the roads with, safe. We are proud of our people for their lead role in safe practices and management, especially our professional Drivers who play a major role in road safety,” says Garth Pitzel, Director, Safety and Driver Development. Bison Transport has long been recognized as ‘the safest fleet in North America’ and has garnered itself with a substantial list of safety awards, including the Truckload Carriers Association’s National Fleet Safety Grand Prize Award for the eighth time.
