Mark Tricco of Bison Transport named National Driver of the Year

Professionalism and dedication are two words that commonly describe Bison Transport’s
Mark Tricco, who has been named as National Driver of the Year through Volvo Canada and the Canadian
Trucking Alliance.  The annual Driver of the Year contest identifies and honours the best men and women
traveling the roads today. They drive safely, give to their communities, and enhance the image of trucking.  Mark
received his award at the Manitoba Trucking Association’s Annual Fall Awards Gala which took place in
Winnipeg, Manitoba.

“Drivers like Mark are the main component in Bison Transport having achieved the reputation as being the
‘Safest Fleet in North America’ as named by the Truckload Carriers Association for the eighth time,” says Garth
Pitzel, Director of Safety and Driver Development.  “Mark has logged more than 2.5 million consecutive accident
free miles with Bison as an Owner Operator.  Mark is also a member of Bison’s Driver Advisory Board, a group of
professional Drivers and management that meet to find new and innovative ways to do things at Bison
Transport.
