Bison Earns Accolades from the Truckload Carriers Association

Thursday Mar 12, 2015

Bison Transport was recognized at the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) Annual Convention as the safest truckload carrier in its division and for its industry leading safety and driver programs.

Bison Transport received first place in the National Fleet Safety Awards for the 9th consecutive time. Bison also received the Grand Prize for the large carrier division for the 8th time. No other carrier has achieved this level of success in the history of the awards.

In addition to the National Fleet Safety Awards, Bison Transport was recognized as one of the Best Fleets to Drive For. This is the fifth time in the contest’s seven year history Bison has earned this distinction. Carriers are nominated by drivers and evaluated on their driver programs and their effectiveness.

“This is certainly well deserved recognition of our people and our drivers,” says Garth Pitzel, Director, Safety and Driver Development. “Bison recognizes that, to truly succeed, a steadfast commitment to safety must be our core value. We have stayed true to that value through the ups and downs of growth and a challenging industry and economy. Safety is about lives, livelihoods and doing what is right. Our people and professional drivers make our workplace a great place to be and the safest fleet in North America.”
