Highway 1 was closed last night between Regina and the Alberta/Saskatchewan border due to deteriorating weather and road conditions. The closure was lifted this morning at 07:15. However, Travel Not Recommended (TNR) status remains in place in affected areas, and conditions continue to require cautious operation and ongoing monitoring.
As a result of conditions:
- 7 drivers exercised their RTD and did not depart as scheduled.
- An additional 7 drivers were required to drop trailers while en route due to unsafe driving conditions.
Safety remains our primary priority, and these decisions were made in alignment with our operational standards and permit requirements.
We will continue to closely monitor conditions and adjust operations as required. Further updates will be provided as the situation evolves.
