New Jersey Commercial Vehicle Travel Ban

The State of New Jersey has issued a commercial vehicle travel ban effective 12:01 a.m. Sunday until further notice due to severe weather.

The restriction applies to all tractor-trailers, empty straight trucks, passenger vehicles pulling trailers, recreational vehicles, and motorcycles on the following routes, all for their entire length unless noted:

  • I-76
  • I-78
  • I-80
  • I-195
  • I-280
  • I-287
  • I-295
  • I-676
  • Route 440 from the Outerbridge Crossing to I-287

Drivers already in New Jersey when restrictions take effect will be directed to safely pull off at truck stops or designated facilities to wait out the storm.
