Overnight, localized weather resulted in Travel Not Recommended (TNR) advisories across portions of Saskatchewan, temporarily slowing overnight operations but not halting them. Conditions have improved this morning, with movements resuming under close monitoring and localized restrictions where required. Recovery efforts are focused on safely restoring network velocity while managing residual weather risk.
Despite the overnight impacts, the Prairie network continues to stabilize, with meaningful day-over-day reductions in freight backlogs across key westbound and eastbound lanes. Productivity remains below normal in some areas, but progress is continuing as conditions improve.
In Ontario, Highway 17 remains closed between Wawa and Batchawana Bay this morning. Freight is being rerouted via Highway 11, which will continue to impact capacity between Ontario, Quebec, and Manitoba until the closure is lifted.
We will continue to monitor conditions closely and share updates as needed. If you have questions about your shipments or require additional detail, please contact your Bison account manager.
