— UPDATE: Feb 19, 8:55 am —
Main arteries across Minnesota and North Dakota appear to still have stretches of what appear to be poor conditions. We have drivers calling in reporting icy and windy conditions overnight, specifically noting the stretch between Fargo ND to St Cloud MN being very poor. Plows are out this morning so conditions have slightly improved overnight but are still showing ice covered on many stretches. State troopers are still providing updates as of this morning that they are responding to several crashes along the i94 which is the stretch between Fargo ND and St Cloud MN. We should continue to keep our customers informed that we will still see delays on all drivers travelling northbound & southbound through this area.
— ORIGINAL POST–
Minnesota and North Dakota are currently under a winter storm warning, with wet, heavy snowfall continuing through tonight. Although total accumulation is forecasted at 1–3 inches, the density of the snow combined with wind gusts up to 35 mph is significantly reducing visibility and creating difficult driving conditions. Some drivers in the area are exercising their discretion to pause operations for safety.
I-29 remains open but is under a “travel not recommended” advisory. Delays should be expected today and into tonight for both northbound and southbound freight moving along this corridor.
We are monitoring conditions closely and will provide updates as needed. If you have questions about specific shipments, please connect with your account manager.
