Bison Transport helps promote "A Better Community"
Wednesday Sep 21, 2011

Thursday September 15, 2011 - Winnipeg based Bison Transport, well known for its support and leadership in the local community, will reveal its newest addition to their fleet of “rolling billboards” on Friday September 16th. The brand new 53’ highway trailer features a bright red decal wrap highlighting United Way’s new campaign slogan “A Better Community Starts with You", along with pictures of children and the United Way logo.

This trailer will be publicly displayed for the first time at the Annual United Way Kick-Off and Plane-Pull held at the Red River College Stevenson Campus at noon on Friday September 16.

Over 1000 people are expected to attend and the trailer will be the backdrop for all pictures being taken that day.

Rob Penner, Bison’s Chief Operating Officer says, “United Way and their many partner agencies are doing extraordinary work in our communities. In Winnipeg alone there are over one hundred agencies that receive critical funding from United Way, and their work touches over 250,000 people in our city. The employees of Bison Transport are thrilled to be able to use whatever tools we can to help bring more visibility to this wonderful organization, and this was a great fit.”

Following the Friday event, the United Way Trailer will be part of Bison Transport’s large fleet of trailers, and will operate throughout Canada and parts of the United States.
