Monday, January 23, 2012 - Bison Transport was recognized by Walmart for 2 very significant awards on Friday, January 20 at the Annual Walmart Canada Carrier Awards banquet in Mississauga ON.
Overall Store Delivery Carrier of the Year - Bison was selected for its on-time performance, commitment to excellence, innovative approach, and customer service. Bison’s on-time performance for Walmart Canada in 2011 was in excess of 99%, handling deliveries of general merchandise, groceries, and perishable food items to Walmart stores across Canada.
Shining Star Award - Bison’s recently appointed VP of Central Operations, Steve Zokvic was selected by Walmart as the key person amongst all their carrier's staff members who stood out as having provided them with the overall best customer service. This was the first year that Walmart has awarded such recognition, so it is particularly notable and a huge achievement for Mr. Zokvic and the rest of the Bison team.
In accepting these awards on behalf of Bison and Mr. Zokvic, Jeff Pries, Bison’s VP of Sales & Marketing commented, “It is such an honor to be recognized by our long standing partner, Walmart Canada for the work we do and this award is shared amongst the many individuals at Bison who take pride in doing the right things to service our clients.”
