Bison Transport Places First With Lowest Reportable Accident Rate

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Thursday, January 29, 2009 - Bison Transport , three time award winner of the coveted Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) National Fleet Safety Award, has placed first in the over 100 million miles category with the lowest DOT reportable accident rate for the third consecutive year.

Bison Transport is now eligible to compete for our 4th consecutive National Fleet Safety Award grand prize in the above 25 million miles division.

In addition to the company's achievement, long time driver with Bison, John (Ralph) Boles has been named as a finalist in the TCA's annual Company Equipment Driver of the Year competition.

Ralph, who has been a professional driver and in-cab instructor with Bison Transport for 35 years, has been named one of three finalists for the award including being eligible for a grand prize of a Dodge Ram pick-up truck.

"The image of this industry is something I am proud of, I am able to offer my opinions and make a difference" says Ralph. He and his wife Elaine will be in Orlando, Florida where both the Company Equipment Driver of the Year and the National Fleet Safety Award will be announced on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the TCA Annual Convention.
