Bison Transport has invested more than $25M for expansion of their new Mississauga terminal. This investment towards their people, facility and technologies will help meet their current and expected future growth as Bison Transport is expecting to double its’ fleet size in Ontario within the next two years.
Bison owns twenty-two acres of land in the Mississauga region, and construction of the 19,000 square foot state-of-the-art terminal in Mississauga is now complete. The official grand opening is October 15th. The new facility is located near the Dixie/401 interchange and will become the primary Eastern Canadian hub for Bison's growing highway and regional fleets that serve the Ontario & Quebec marketplace.
“We have been preparing for aggressive growth and we are excited to fully capitalize on the current business conditions and provide more options for our customers. The facility supports our staff and Drivers and provides excellent amenities.” says Rob Penner, President & COO at Bison Transport. “Our operation has outgrown our current building, which we will now convert to a Maintenance facility. This will increase our ability to repair and maintain our equipment more efficiently ultimately increasing earnings for our professional Drivers.”
