Bison Transport’s Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Fleet Reaches 1 Million Miles
Friday Dec 13, 2013

In less than a year from launching a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) fleet, Bison Transport has surpassed 1 million miles using this alternative fuel technology!

Bison Transport has partnered with Shell Canada in a 5 year fuels supply agreement, marking the first step in launching Shell’s LNG refueling infrastructure in the province. Currently there is one publicly accessible LNG fuelling facility in Calgary with another set to open in early in Edmonton in 2014.

“Bison is constantly searching for new ways to move freight more efficiently and to reduce costs for their customers,” said Trevor Fridfinnson, Senior Vice President. “We are very proud to be at the forefront of testing this new fuel technology.”

Bison Transport is one of only a few Canadian Transportation companies testing LNG and exploring the potential conversion from diesel to LNG. To read more about Bison Transport’s experience with LNG, click on the following link to read their recently published LNG White Paper.
