Trucking HR Canada’s Top Fleet Employers program is a national initiative that recognizes fleets that have HR policies and practices that meet the highest standards within the industry. It is not a competition, but a rigorous review process where applicants are evaluated based on multiple criteria. Fleets are assessed in these areas: skills development, workplace culture, employee engagement, recruitment practices, compensation, sustainability and innovative HR policies. Employees also play a role in providing feedback about their workplaces. Top Fleet Employers meet THRC’s HR standards of excellence and are leaders in showcasing this industry as a great place to work. Employers who have been honoured with a spot in the program’s ranks for a minimum of five and ten years are awarded, Top Fleet Employer of Distinction status.
